CEYLON FANCY - KENILWORTH (SRI LANKA) $6.00 per 1/4 lb Often referred to as ‘Lover’s Leap’ (Nuwara Eliya), our Ceylon Fancy tea is grown at some of the world’s highest altitudes. This black tea is distinguished by fine wiry silver tips sprinkled among the black leaves, giving a lighted liquored flavor with hints of mandarin orange. CHUN MEE (MOON PALACE, CHINA GREEN) $5.60 per 1/4 lb Among the locals of Anhui Province, this tea is affectionately referred to as ‘Precious Eyebrows’, perhaps because the leaves are rolled to the shape of eye-brows before they are pan fried. The result is a delicate tea noted for its plum fruit flavors and pale yellow liquid. GREEN DRAGON OOLONG $12.50 per 1/4 lb This delicate oolong tea from Taiwan is considered ‘green’ because of its shorter oxidation period. What results is a pellet like ball that unfurls as it steeps to produce a lighter, subtle floral tea with undertones of orchids and a pale yellow tea. Delicate and flowery, this deep green tea has an intoxicating scent making this a truly special tea.
