Abyssina is the Biblical name for present day Ethiopia. Coffee was first discovered in this region and it grows wild and free. Abyssinia is typically roasted on the lightest roast, creating coffee that is low in acidity and enjoyable.

Produced on small family and community farms in Indonesia, this bean is a rare and limited find. After it is harvested at the peak of maturity, the bean is pulped, washed and sun dried on partisan. This light roast is aromatic with hints of sweet spices.

Next to Brazil, Columbia is the second largest producer of Arabica beans. The rich volcanic soil and high mountainous regions of Columbia create ideal conditions for growing this high quality coffee bean. Each berry is picked by hand with strict food and safety regulations to avoid contamination. Balanced, sweet and low in acidity, this bean is the platinum standard of all coffee beans.

They call it “Puerto Rico Oro”. This coffee farm was abandoned in the last 23 years. Now under new technology and new management the farm has become a hidden gem among the mountains of Puerto Rico. This farm has produced top quality specialty coffee beans using traditional methods and the finest Arabica trees. The production is limited but the cup is excellent. It has a clean and refreshing taste with a subtle mix of fruity flavors. The body is smooth with citric notes, adding delicacy to the cup. This is for serious coffee drinkers who can appreciate an excellent cup of coffee.

From the Gayo Mountains in the Aceh region of North Sumatra, these beans travel many places before they arrive in the city of Medan for a final drying, processing, and shipping. The brew has a clean, sweet, slightly fruity flavor with a hint of cocoa as a finish.

VISTA ALEGRE

By using a drip irrigation system, the trees of the Vista Alegre bean are nourished using irrigated water even after the coffee cherries have ripened. This continued nourishment allows the cherry to further mature and develop. After a medium roast the coffee releases a syrupy body with illusions of dark chocolaty sweetness.
